Brief Hiatus

I'll probably be away from the blog for a while. With Thanksgiving coming up, a crazy work schedule and the VA COMICON coming this weekend, my plate is pretty full.

And, unfortunately, we just discovered that our little buddy Toonces is not only stone deaf, he's now completely blind as well. It's breaking our hearts and we're still figuring out how to make life easier for a cat that's effectively cut off from the world. The little guy has gotten us through some of the toughest times we've had. He was living with me before Suzanne and I even got married. So this is hitting me a little hard.

Hopefully, I'll find time to post a con report after the VA COMICON. If not, have a great Thanksgiving and try not to get trampled on Black Friday. Me? I'm avoiding that this year.

Later.

Hi Matt,

Have a great time at the con, don't work too hard and I hope things work out for you and Toonces.

These kind of things are hard to deal with, but I am sure the little fella is aware you still love him and that means everything to him.

Best,
Tim...

What Tim said regarding Toonces -- yeah. Just keep giving him love and affection.

Enjoy the con. And I hope you and yours have a nice Thanksgiving! :)

Sorry to hear about Toonces, but I'm pretty sure that cats and dogs depend a lot more on their sense of smell than we think and can navigate their world by a nose.

Have a great time at the show.

Matt--so sorry to hear about Toonces! My own cat, Lovebug, has just in the last couple of months, seemingly all of a sudden, started meowing more loudly, and at weird times--I am now realizing her hearing and sight are diminished. I hope Toonces gets better or at least stabilizes.

Sorry to hear about your little buddy Matt, hope that he's at least in good spirits.

Don't worry about the hiatus, we'll be here.

Have a great time at the con, and a great turkey day!

Another thing, Matt-I am sure you have already seen it, but if not, there is an interesting Nova interpretation here:

Not classic Nova, but kinda cool colors

Sorry to hear about Toonces. I'd agree with Brian, though, smell seems like a much more important sense to cats and dogs.

Have a great time at the con, and have a great Thanksgiving.
